Introducing Kingsland's New Water Treatment Facility

 
The City of Kingsland is proud to announce the completion of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion project.  The expansion improvements have increased the wastewater treatment facility's capacity from 2.2 million gallons per day to 4.4 million gallons per day.  This state of the art facility essentially doubled the city's wastewater treatment capacity, preparing Kingsland to meet the demands of future growth.

The City of Kingsland used Series 2008 revenue bonds to pay for a little more than 50% of the total project costs of $12,666,000.  Bonds were issued for $6,800,000, with the remaining costs covered by Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) and Capital Recovery Fees.
