Fleet Services Manager

Responsibilities
Ronnie Wise is currently serving as the Director of Fleet Services for the City of Kingsland and has held the position since 1996. Ronnie has the responsibility of overseeing the maintenance of over 300 pieces of equipment, which include Public Works Heavy Equipment, Police Cruisers, Fire Trucks, and other equipment including small engines, such as weed-eaters and lawnmowers in addition to maintaining the fuel depot.Ronnie Wise

Career
Ronnie began his career in automotive maintenance at the young age of 12 when he began working in his grandfathers’ service station and then went on to work during his high school years at B&P Body Shop in St. Mary’s, Georgia.        Then in 1974, Ronnie graduated from Camden County High School and began working at Gillette Motor Company in the parts department and in the garage as well driving a wrecker for M&G Wrecker Service. 

In 1976 until 1981, Ronnie worked for Dinkins Service Center.  Between 1982 and 1985 Ronnie worked at G&P Tire Center as Manager.   In 1986 until the last of 1989 Ronnie moved to Columbus, Georgia to take the position of Manager at Bross Tire Company.  Deciding to move back to Camden County again, Ronnie joined B&C Tire Company as manager in 1990 and remained there until 1996 when he joined the staff at the City of Kingsland as Fleet Services Director.

Education
Ronnie received Continuing Education Units in Fleet Operations Preventive Maintenance from Wright State University, and  has received certificates from Monroe Ride Experts for Steering and Suspensions, ASE for Light Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection Program, Maintenance Management Excellence from Brockwell Hydraulics, Tymco 600 Street Sweeper Service School, Wayne Engineering Curbtender Service School Training, and Leach Service/Operations Training, FEMA Emergency Management Classes on Incident Command System, Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, National Incident Management System, and National Response Framework, as well as Loss Prevention, Loss Control & Health Promotion Services for Local Governments thru LGRMS.  Mr. Wise has received certification as a UST Class A Operator for the City of Kingsland’s Fuel Depot.

Community Involvement
Ronnie has served on the Camden County Board of Education and is a member of the Camden County Quarterback Club, and he is a member of the Kingsland First United Methodist Church, as well as, a 32 year member of the Camden Masonic Lodge #476.
