Animal Control

Yes, your animal has to be restraint by a leash or secured to your property.

No, however cats fall into the nuisance category and will be trapped if complaint upon.

Yes, a feces on public and private property has to be removed.
|

Not at this point, the only required tag is a current rabies vaccination tag to be affixed to the animal by a collar. All animals over the age of 3 month have to have a rabies shot that has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. I urge pet owners to have there animals micro chipped and verify that the information is current as well as to include a daytime cell phone or work number where you can be reached in case your animal gets loose.

NO; the Department of Natural Resources has strict guidelines when it comes to our Wildlife, please contact DNR or Animal Control with any questions.

Excessive barking of an animal falls into the nuisance category and has to be documented by the complainant, the time of day when the animal is barking is not an issue since some people work at night and have to sleep during the day

Animal Control will only trap and remove Wildlife if they are a danger to a person or property or if they are sick or injured. For all others please contact DNR or a Pest removal Service.

Which means I will not disclose where my information comes from but I do need to be able to speak to you to get all the information I need to find the animal and to hear what your concern is regarding the animal. Yes, you are required to provide shelter for your animal anytime he/she is outside. You also need to provide a water source that lasts the animal all day while outside. Shade is important in the South since the temperatures get very high.

Finance Department

Senior Exemption (65 or older, residing in residence), Disabled Veteran (must be 100% disabled, living in residence), Governor’s Homestead Exemption (must apply with the County and live in residence). Note: all exemptions require taxpayer to live in residence as of January 1st for tax year of exemption.

1. For Senior Exemption ($25,000), apply with the City one time by August 1st , bring proof of age and residency. 2. For VA exemption ($50,000), apply with the County, bring ID and proof of 100% disability and proof of residency. 3. For Governor’s Homestead ($8,000), apply with the County one time by March 1st, bring ID and proof of residency.

You must first go to the Camden County Health Department located at 700 North Charles Gilman Drive. They will then issue you a voucher for a car seat to bring to the Fire Department. We will take the voucher and then install your car seat for you as long as we have them in stock.
