The Police Explorers Program is a volunteer hands-on program open to young men and women14 to 20 years old and a minimum of a 2.0 GPA who are interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.
The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.
Police Explorers are exposed to several aspects of the law enforcement profession to include the importance of giving back through the involvement of community service.
The Kingsland Police Departments Exploring Program meet twice a month at 6 pm at the Kingsland Welcome Center.
***Police explorers are non-sworn, unarmed civilian volunteers with no arrest or enforcement powers.***
