Structure & Staffing
The City of Kingsland Fire Department is a Class-2 ISO rating department consisting of career and volunteer firefighters. The department currently employs 20 volunteers, 24 career medical/firefighters, and 12 part-time medical/firefighters. To provide around the clock fire protection the department has 3 shifts (A, B, and C) of firefighters that work 24 hours on and 48 hours off.
The Chief works 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. The department currently operates 3 fire stations with plans of more in the very near future.

Volunteer Service
We have a Volunteer Service and are always looking for new energetic adults wanting to learn to be fire fighters.
Requirements
You must be able to pass a background check. Upon completion we will provide the required training that you will need to become a firefighter and a first responder.
